The story

After 15 years as a corporate communications and association management professional working with nonprofits and membership-based organizations, Hannah Helsby founded IQ Marketing with the mission of helping companies elevate their brand and become more effective in their marketing and communications efforts. Hannah has been passionate about communications and marketing before she ever knew what “marketing” was. At age 8, Hannah crafted a neighborhood newsletter on her mother’s computer and went door to door selling advertising space for $1, taking her neighbors business cards, and copying them onto the printed newsletter. Her love for writing and storytelling continued and at age 14, her parents took her to the Newseum in Washington, D.C. whereafter she became completely obsessed with becoming a journalist.

While attending the University of Kentucky, majoring in broadcast journalism, she worked at a television news station. There she developed her skills in video editing and production and learned the ins and outs of media relations and working with other journalists. After college, she found her passion for working with nonprofits, which she inherited from both her mother and father who were known locally in Lexington, Ky. as “Mr. and Mrs. Nonprofit” because of their involvement with numerous nonprofits. Over the next decade, Hannah expanded her knowledge and skills producing substantial growth, strengthening brand identity, promoting positive public awareness, and driving increases in both revenue and efficiency for the organizations she worked with.

With a consistent drive to help others achieve their goals and make a positive impact in their communities, Hannah founded IQ Marketing with a commitment to help organizations flourish. IQ Marketing specializes in providing services for nonprofits, associations, and small to mid-sized businesses. We know our expertise, drive, and passion makes a critical impact in the success of the companies we work with. The goal of IQ Marketing is to share those successes more broadly while working with people who are passionate about what they do, like we are!
